Yosso Sports Foundation Academy is the grassroots sports arm of YSF — the heart of our programs and community initiatives in Songwe, Tanzania.
Since its establishment, the Foundation’s main focus has been sports development — especially football. We currently run two grassroots football academies in Mbozi District, Songwe Region: one in Vwawa Village and another in Masoko Village.
The Academy creates structured pathways for children and youth, combining athletic development with life skills, education support, and mentorship.
Structured training sessions that build technical skills, tactical awareness, and physical fitness in young players.
We complement sport with academic support, ensuring children stay in school and build pathways to future employment.
Coaching sessions focused on discipline, teamwork, confidence, and leadership that extend far beyond the pitch.
Workshops and mentorship that introduce young people to entrepreneurial thinking and economic self-reliance.
Involving families and local schools to build a wider support network around every young person we serve.
Identifying gifted players early and connecting them with opportunities for progression at regional and national levels.
